1998 Outremer 38/43 | 43ft

According to plans by Gérard Danson, this small rocket by Outremer is a reference in terms of construction quality, reliability, simplicity, and speed.

This OUTREMER 38/43, ordered and built in 1997, was delivered on January 15, 1998, to its first owners. It was also known as Outremer 40 Light due to its lightness: Just 3.8 tons!!

The hulls of the 38/43 and 40/43 are the same. The first owner ordered his boat in the extended version of 43 feet for better passage through the sea and more space at the skirts, storage with an additional locker, but also the advantage of inline shaft engines instead of S-Drive.

The concept of the Outremer 38/43 is very simple: fast, seaworthy, simple, powerful, fun! The layouts are simple and functional, with one descent into the hulls through the saloon, and the other through the cockpit.

A boat that will allow you both a day trip and a 3-buoy regatta or a long voyage program as its first and third owners have done.

Thalès has had 4 owners and sailed around the world:

Passing through the Panama Canal in its early days, the boat followed its owner as he moved for professional reasons.

It then passed into the hands of a Belgian owner, primarily used in Turkey, before returning to La Rochelle where the boat underwent many improvement and cosmetic works.

Finally, its current owner has plans for the 3 great oceans: Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian, as well as the Caribbean, Coral, Arafura, Timor seas, and the Mozambique Canal.

Complete equipment for life on board or fast cruising, this boat has undergone a COMPLETE refit in 2012 and throughout its life. Hull, deck, living and dead works, sail revision, electronics, ... in short, the basics are like new!
