This special passage making fuel efficient yacht was designed by George Buehler and is a safe, stable, and easily driven sea boat for a couple or short-handed crew. She was built in aluminum by McNally Marine in Belleville, Ontario and commissioned in 2005. The current owner, only the 2nd, has cruised her on the Eastern Seaboard and Bahamas for the last 12 years and has continued her meticulous maintenance and upgrades.
M/V Diesel Duck is one of the featured vessels in the latest edition of "Voyaging Under Power" by Capt. Beebe and revised by Dennis Umstot.
A quote from George Buehler to the current owner in an email dated 2014: " You have one of the nicest of the DUCKS. I think it is a good size too. It's all a couple needs."
