Launched in 2009 by renowned British shipyard Pendennis and fully repainted in 2025, the Pendennis 55m is a 54.9-metre ice-classed explorer yacht designed for serious oceangoing cruising. Measuring 54.9 metres in length with a 10.36-metre beam and 3.50-metre draught, the Pendennis 55m is the largest volume superyacht delivered by Pendennis Yachts to date. She is unique in her class due to her robust 3-centimetre-thick steel hull capable of breaking through 80 centimetres of ice.
The result of a collaboration between Liebowitz & Pritchard Architecture + Yacht Design and the yard, with naval architecture by Burness Corlett & Partners, Pendennis’s engineering team, the Pendennis 55m combines expedition capabilities with refined English elegance, representing one of the most distinctive custom explorer yachts available today. The Pendennis 55m exterior styling showcases her purpose-built explorer credentials, whilst her interior reflects the warmth and sophistication of a classic English gentlemen’s club.
Key features onboard include a diesel-heated, endless pool with artificial current, a bow-mounted dolphin observation basket, and an impressive wine cellar that accommodates 600 bottles, paired with an adjoining cigar bar. The galley features a walk-in refrigerator, whilst discreet speakeasy-style corners and relaxation spaces are thoughtfully integrated throughout.
