Penned by Nauta Design in collaboration with the Francesco Rogantin’s Names naval architecture studio, Heritage 9.9 is a work of the renowned Castagnola Yacht.

This highly exclusive custom-built from wood and carbon-fibre boat is designed for use as a weekender or day-cruiser for short cruises or even as a large superyacht tender.

It is aimed at a discerning, quality-focused client seeking a uniquely special product. The Heritage 9.9 is a planing yacht with peerless performance figures that include a 30-knot cruising speed and a 35-knot top speed.

It is clothed in classic lines with a distinctive retro charm effortlessly melded with a modern arrangement and contemporary techniques and materials.

The model’s most striking quality, however, is the meticulous attention to detail that reflects the astonishing artisanship of the craftsmen involved in its construction.

Artisanship and modernity thus combine in the Heritage 9.9’s materials and construction techniques. A thin skin of vacuum-bagged epoxy resin-infused carbon-fibre coats the solid mahogany hull. The interior structures have been left bare and treated only with breathable paints. A marriage of very different materials with complimentary characteristics – wood and carbon-fibre, glass, etc. – has produced a hull with unrivalled navigational and maintenance performance that retains the quality and charm of wood-building.
