This boat was custom ordered by the current owners and has been babied since. Less than 250 hours on the engines, with regular maintenance. Ordered for the desert, she has the larger generator and the Desert Air Conditioning package. She also has a custom Trailer to move here if needed. So, she becomes an excellent option for any lake or move her out as the roomiest 35 LOOP Boat you will find. Currently located in Lake Havasu. The trailer just needs a Gooseneck capable truck and will travel as a wide load.
Reviews of the 2016 Carver C34 Command Bridge (often called the C34 Fly) are generally positive, highlighting its "big boat" feel and efficient use of space. It was a pivotal model for Carver, introducing a plumb-bow design that maximized interior volume in a 35-foot hull.
1. Key Strengths & Pros
Exceptional Interior Volume: Reviewers consistently mention that the C34 feels like a 40-foot yacht. The 13-foot beam and plumb bow create a massive master stateroom with 6'8" headroom and a separate guest stateroom with twin berths (not just a "crawl-in" space).
Flybridge Layout: The bridge is accessed via molded fiberglass steps (instead of a ladder), which is safer for pets and children. It features a large U-shaped lounge and a massive aft sun pad.
"Indoor-Outdoor" Living: The salon features a rare double-wide French door (rather than a sliding door) that opens the interior completely to the cockpit, creating a seamless entertaining space.
Serviceability: For owner-operators, the engine room is noted for being "clean" and easy to access, with labeled seacocks and all components within reach.
Stable & Dry Ride: The high forward freeboard (over 5 feet) helps keep the boat dry in choppy conditions, and the 13-foot beam provides a stable platform at anchor.
2. Performance & Handling
The 2016 model comes with twin MerCruiser 5.7L Horizon (300 hp each) gasoline V-drive inboards.
Cruising Speed: Typically 19–24 mph (approx. 16–21 knots).
Top Speed: Around 30–33 mph (approx. 26–28 knots).
Fuel Consumption: At a 24 mph cruise, expect to burn roughly 25–30 gallons per hour.
Handling: Reviewers note it is responsive and light, the optional bow thruster makes tighter docking simple, as the relatively light hull and high profile can catch the wind.
